  • Original item: Only One Available. Typical of the early nineteenth century, here we offer this Kentucky style, or more correctly, Pennsylvania style percussion Rifle. It is in about .45 Caliber, with a 7 groove octagonal barrel measuring 42", the entire rifle being 58" overall. Fully brass mounted, including an attractive patch box. The ram rod's throat pipe is now absent but the wood ram rod is still there, and it is stocked fully to the muzzle with a brass nose cap.

The wood stock showing splits, cracks and missing slithers alongside the heavy barrel. The Butt solid and secure with an impressive brass hook butt plate and Patch Box. Barrel with salt and pepper pitting overall from long time storage. Lock, unsigned with minimal decorative engraving, no maker's markings that we can see.

Long and easy on the eye making this most attractive for "over the Fire Place". Internals worn with mainspring in place but without a good cleaning and servicing, the rifle will not currently hold at full or half cock.
