Original Item: Only One Available. This is a genuine post Civil War, Indian Wars era leather cartridge box for use by the United States Navy and has USN cleanly embossed on the outer flap and has a cleanly stamped manufacturer’s mark and inspectors mark on the inside closure flap.

The outer surfaces of the box exhibit wear from age and use. The outer flap has light to moderate crazing throughout. The box still has the closure tab partially attached and brass finial is present at the bottom. The back of the box has the entire belt loop completely still intact. The inner flap is in nice shape and has both ears present. On the innermost compartment it has an original wooden insert.
This is a beautiful example of a genuine Indian Wars era USN stamped cartridge box. Comes ready to display!
