  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a gorgeous example of an Indian Wars era soldier’s vest bearing seven Model 1874 uniform cuff buttons on the front. These would not have been issued, meaning this soldier attached the buttons on himself. The buttons are not sewn and are instead affixed with clips on the interior. The vest is of period construction with a very well-worn liner whose color & wear show over a century of patina.

The back of the jacket is of a brown fabric with a tightening buckle bearing PARIS. There is scattered mothing across the vest, with four exterior pockets and one interior pocket. This is truly a gorgeous piece of clothing from roughly 150 years ago.

This vest comes ready for further research and display.
