Original Item: Very Few Available. We have just received a small quantity of these 100+ year-old genuine U.S. M-1878 leather haversack straps, as used during the Indian Wars Era following the U.S. Civil War. Each measures about 40 inches in overall length, and were intended to attach to the two "D-Rings" on the back of the M-1878 haversack. They have hooks on both ends, as well as adjustment hooks to change the length.
Offered in good condition but please expect some wear, staining, and / or other damage from long use and age. They are all relatively dry, and definitely would need some conditioning and cleaning to restore the leather. We believe these to have been manufactured in the early late 19th century.
