This is a very nice example of the standard regulation field uniform of the plains from 1874 until 1883, lined and with original chevrons for an infantry corporal. These jackets saw heavy field use and many were used well into the era of the Spanish American War of 1898. Features a five button front, with American Eagle buttons of the period with HORSTMANN back markings. Unknown cuff rank insignia.
