Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. Indian Wars/Spanish-American War Era white dress coat fitted with 22nd Regiment Militia numbers on the buttons. We have not been able to locate another example like this uniform. The only tag on the inside is a Brooks Brothers of Broadway tag on the inside back lining.
Coat features a 11 button double breasted front, with 2 small buttons on the reverse of each cuff. There are a few period repairs to the jacket, most notably on the left upper chest. The jacket is fully lined, with one interior pocket. A label for the manufacturer company is sewn to the nape of the neck. The coat does have some slight mothing here and there, as expected of a garment of this age.
This is definitely an interesting uniform jacket. Comes more than ready for further research and display.
