  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a circa 1880s 7th Infantry Regiment New York National Guard shako. Once Blue faded felt body with a leather front visor. Patent leather chinstrap. Gilt Artillery chin strap buttons. Brass front plate with 7 regimental number. Oil cloth sweatband. HENRY V. ALLEN & CO paper maker's label mounted to top inside of shako. Shako named to "B. HOUSTON" of Company I, 7th Regiment. Approximate size 7.

    Moth nips and additional tracking to the material and crazing to the leather bill. A bit of separation in one inch area where the visor meets the body. Leather sweatband has minor issues, otherwise the shako is in good condition.
