  • Original Item: Only One Available. US M1878 Canteen with a tan canvas cover with a very clear U.S. stencil on the front. The canteen retains its original stopper securing chain and leather strap. No denting to the body, though there is wear on the cover, which has some staining. This is the model canteen used during the Spanish American war, as well as the Indian Wars west of the Mississippi in the late 19th century.
