  • Original Items: Only One Available. This is a fascinating assortment of inert explosive-ordnance recognition and training aids dating from the Global War on Terror era. Constructed primarily from resin, plastic, and foam, the pieces represent several types of grenades, fuzes, a mortar-related component, an artillery projectile, and an Iranian antipersonnel mine. Their lightweight construction and identification labels are consistent with classroom, ordnance-recognition, or Explosive Ordnance Disposal training use, although we do not have documentation identifying the specific unit or training facility where this set was employed.

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

    They include:

    - Resin training artillery projectile, with markings in English and Russian. One side reads 56 / 10-66 / 130 / H. Measures 18 ½” tall and 5” wide.
    - Trainer M70 Lemon grenade with fuze and pull ring. Marked RFX54 / A9.
    - Trainer M67 Grenade with trainer fuze.
    - Trainer Iranian GWOT YM-1 AP Mine. Likely made by the US as an identification model.
    - Two wide bolts with OD green painted bottoms.
    - Resin Trainer fuze, label on bottom reading 60 or 81mm MORTAR FUZE ARM - VANE.
    - Resin Trainer fuze, label on bottom reading USSR M-T FUZE. 3 ⅛” long.
    - Resin Trainer fuze, label on bottom reading USSR M-T FUZE. 2 ½” long.

Taken together, this is an unusually varied group of inert ordnance-recognition aids covering American and foreign grenade, mine, projectile, mortar, and fuze types. The Iranian YM-1 model and Soviet-marked fuze trainers are particularly representative of the emphasis placed on foreign-ordnance identification during the GWOT period. While the exact training organization responsible for the set is unknown, its construction, labeling, and range of represented ordnance are consistent with material used to teach personnel visual recognition without the hazards and logistical requirements associated with live or deactivated service ammunition.
