Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very interesting original U.S. GWOT-era CTS Model 7290M “Mini Bang” flashbang grenade, now completely inert and retained as a historical display and study piece. The compact size and distinctive markings make it an excellent representative example of modern tactical distraction-device equipment.
Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
The grenade is marked:
CTS
COMBINED
TACTICAL SYSTEMS
MODEL 7290M
MINI BANG ®
1.5 SECOND DELAY
(PATENT INFO)
The side of the body is stamped E821289. The grenade retains the spoon and pull ring.
The Model 7290M was part of the Combined Tactical Systems family of compact distraction devices intended for law-enforcement and tactical applications. This inert example may have been retained for training, recognition, instructional, or technical reference purposes, although its exact service history is not known.
The combination of the clearly marked CTS body, Model 7290M designation, Mini Bang branding, 1.5 Second Delay marking, E821289 body stamp, and complete external hardware makes this a strong modern inert ordnance display piece. Its exact prior use is unconfirmed, but the surviving markings and complete exterior configuration give it substantial value for study and collection.
