  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic service-worn U.S. Desert Storm Era Combat Vehicle Crewman (CVC) Tanker Helmet, model DH-132A with a gorgeous period paintjob. The shell was painted black with a Skull & Crossbones painted to the front, giving the helmet a great “Pirate Flag” look. These Helmets were worn by crewmen aboard Tanks and other Combat Vehicles. The Helmet is missing part of its tag but it is marked by maker GENTEX with a date of 2/78 for February 1978, a great early example. There is no size marking, but it is likely Medium.

The liner has the correct headphones attached, along with an adjustable microphone, which are attached to the correct wires for interfacing with the vehicle comm. systems, including a long coiled extension. The electronics are in rough shape with the headphone interiors falling out.

The liner tag dates the helmet to 1978, a great early issue. The Skull & Crossbones has a great patina, and the black paint is worn in all the right ways.

This would make a great addition to any vehicle helmet collection. These helmets are very difficult to find that have seen real service. Ready for further research and display!
