Original Items: Only Ones Available. This is a great lot of Battlefield Pickup Relics Recovered from the site of the Battle of the Bulge. The items were procured by an amateur historian while accompanying a veteran’s organization on a tour of the battlefield. We were told these items came from the site, but we have no paperwork or provenance to back this up.
All of the ordnance in this set has been demilitarized according to specifications by the BATF, and makes this set not available for export.
The items include:
- Small German artillery fuze with provenance tag reading: Ravine at Sleigden, Luxembourg when entire German Platoon was ambushed + wiped out except 1 man. We have no idea how the fuze connects to the story.
- German field shovel fragment with some retained wood in handle hole.
- U.S. M1942 canteen with cap, cap is seized. Marked US VOLLRATH 1943.
- Relic BAR magazine, broken.
- Two relic M1 Carbine magazines, broken.
- Two large relic body chunks from a German 8cm mortar.
- Relic Tail assembly from German 8cm mortar.
- Relic German K98 bayonet scabbard, relic.
- Relic German M39 egg grenade body.
- Small bag of relic belt pieces, buckles, and other small bits.
- Some other small relic pieces we could not identify.
This is a great lot of items with good displayability. Comes ready for display.
