  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is just what you would expect to find in the local Frontier Trading Post or Mercantile store during the pre-war days of the 1840's and 1850's. It has a back action lock which never bore any external markings. All brass mounts including Butt Plate and Trigger guard, its original style ramrod all housed in a fine American Walnut half stock.

It functions and was what was found over all those Pioneer fire places to greet bears, birds and possibly hostiles. Lock holds at half cock, firing at full. No markings or proof marks which eliminates having been imported from England or Continental Europe.

In very nice condition and ready to display!
