Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a nice 19th century period personal punched tin oil lantern with four small windows with crossed iron bars and a retained oil can. The construction is very crude and evident of the period, completely handmade with the original can inside.
The can has a lot of wick but it is likely wick that was recently added. The glass has some cracks as shown on one pane, and has a door with a hinge that still functions though there may be some glue repairs. The handle is quite flimsy
The lantern measures 13 ½” tall and the base is roughly 4 ½ x 4 ½”.
