Original Item: Only One Lot Available. This is a very good lot of three original U.S. M83 TA Practice Smoke Grenades, each fitted with an M201A1-type fuze and rendered completely inert for historical display. One grenade retains its original body nomenclature and distinctive blue identification band, while the remaining two bodies have lost or do not retain legible exterior markings.

The smoke grenades are totally inert and are unable to be used as destructive devices. The grenades are in complete compliance per the current BATF standards governing ordnance and are not available for export.

The first of the three has a blue band around the body and is marked:

There is a hole in the bottom of this example and the fuze is well-secured. The fuze is marked:

The combination of the clearly marked M83 TA body, correct blue practice band, three M201A1 fuze assemblies with individual production markings, and completely inert configuration makes this an informative lot of late-1990s and GWOT-era U.S. smoke-grenade training material. The surviving markings also clearly distinguish the M83 as a terephthalic-acid white-smoke practice grenade rather than an M18 colored-smoke or AN-M8 HC screening grenade.
