Original U.S. Contemporary Thompson M1927A1 Submachine Gun Rubber Duck Replica

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely recent production "rubber duck" replica of a Thompson M1927A1 Submachine gun, which is technically not a model that ever existed in the past. It is approximately 34 inches in length, the correct length for a Thompson M1928A1. We assume that the "model" for the replica was a modern M1927A1 Thompson, which was patterned and had the barrel shortened. It is marked MODEL OF 1927 A1 on the left side, along with CALIBER .45 AUTOMATIC CARTRIDGE, with other markings that were on the patterned gun removed. We believe it is made entirely from black hard rubber, and has had the wooden stocks painted brown to give it a great look.
The rubber duck comes with a rubber 50 Round Thompson "L" drum, which has replicated markings, and is a separate component. It was pressed into place, and we do not know if it can be removed without damaging it.
