  • Original Item: One of a kind Set. FOUND IN THE GREAT STATE OF TEXAS! This revolver reeks of History, starting life as a Union Colt M-1860 Army Percussion Revolver and then converted to use cartridge ammunition using the RICHARDS Conversion system. Comes complete with its post Civil War STATE OF TEXAS tooled Holster of the OLD WEST!

Converted to .44.caliber Cartridge, it's barrel shortened to 5" overall, gun fighter style, and fitted with an empty cartridge ejector system on the right hand side this really is the business. Absolutely no markings remain other than the Serial Number of 3170 on the frame and trigger guard. The bottom frame under the pistol grip numbered 80409. There is No serial number remaining on the barrel. The right grip still shows a trace of its ORIGINAL Inspector's cartouche, together with a brass outlined TEXAS LONE STAR constructed using brass pin head nails. The left hand grip also showing a "LAZY W" Ranch logo and perhaps the very faint remains of an inspector's cartouche on that side also.

In very nice tight fully working condition this lovely historical Colt Richard's Cartridge Conversion Revolver comes with its original tooled old leather holster. A very nicely tooled leather exterior with heavily carved STATE OF TEXAS across its securing straps. The open toed holster having been altered at some time to close the bottom opening, either to keep the weather out or for use with a revolver with a slightly longer barrel.

Both Revolver and holster are clearly Original and old dating back not only to the Civil War but to the WILD WEST of TEXAS during the late 1860s and 1870s.

Not to be missed by any true blooded Texan, ready to display!
