Original Item. Only One Available. This is an extremely scarce holster for the USAF Smith & Wesson Model 15-2 K-38 Combat Revolver. From 1960 to 1969 the U.S. Air Force purchased a large quantity of S&W Model 15 series revolvers with 4 inch barrel, target trigger, target hammer and Magna grips, most were shipped to Warner Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, home to a U.S.A.F. logistic center, and were generally carried by security personnel.
The revolvers would have standard S&W markings with the addition of "U.S.A.F." on the left side of the frame. These were issued originally with the pistols. The holster is all black and embossed USAF on the front flap, which is secured by two knobs. The leather has heavy wear and rubbing, especially at the bottom where it is very raw. The back flap is secured by two snaps to the front, the right of which is very weak.
