  • Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is a great collection of five model missiles produced by the companies Hughes and Douglas, likely as gifts to employees or dignitaries after the companies manufactured these pieces.

    The items include
    - Hughes Falcon US Air Force GAR-3A missile on stand.
    - Hughes Falcon USAF GAR-ID missile on stand.
    - Two Douglas MB-1 Rockets on acrylic stands facing different ways, meant to be displayed together.
    - Falcon-marked missile without base, broken off of base. Not marked with designation.

A really stellar set, ready for further research and display.

The Douglas AIR-2 Genie (previous designation MB-1) was an unguided air-to-air rocket with a 1.5 kt W25 nuclear warhead. It was deployed by the United States Air Force (USAF 1957–1985) and Canada (Royal Canadian Air Force 1965–1968, Air Command 1968–1984)[2] during the Cold War. Production ended in 1962 after over 3,000 were made, with some related training and test derivatives being produced later.

The Hughes AIM-4 Falcon was the first operational guided air-to-air missile of the United States Air Force. Development began in 1946; the weapon was first tested in 1949. The missile entered service with the USAF in 1956.
