  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a great example of a Civil War era medical crutch, measuring 48” long in total. The crutch is of crude and period construction and likely would not work as a crutch today. There is no rubber or cushion remaining at the bottom, with the bottom piece appearing to have been glued back on a while ago. This makes sense as the original rubber would have worn away ages ago.


    There is an X carved into the crutch below the inner handle. There is some heavy wear overall as well as some woodworm holes, a testament to the age of this phenomenal piece.


    A great example of a crutch from the Civil War, ready for further research and display.
