  • Original Set. Only One Available. This is a gorgeous set of Civil War Federal officer shoulder boards for the rank of Captain, indicated by the double bars at each end. The color inside the border is blue, the color indicating Infantry during the Civil War era and later. It is hand embroidered, made from wool fabric and bullion thread surrounding a stiff cheesecloth core. The boards measure 3⅞ x 1½”. 


    The boards are in great shape with the only damage being a small nip to the blue fabric on one. They are otherwise in fantastic condition.


    A very nice upmarket set that would be home in any Civil War insignia collection.
