  • Original Items: Only One Lot of 2 Available. This is a fantastic opportunity to add 2 historic bayonets from the American Civil War to your collections. The bayonets are offered in a beautiful display condition as standalone items or fixed to rifles.

The Bayonets Featured In This Lot:
    - British Pattern 1853 Enfield Bayonet: This is a British Pattern 1853 Bayonet without scabbard. The P-1853 Enfield was used by both Union and Confederate forces during the Civil War and was widely seen at Gettysburg. The socket and blade is offered in beautiful condition and still has arsenal stampings faintly visible.

    Specifications:
    Blade Length: 16 1/2"
    Blade Style: Triangular Socket
    Overall length: 20“

    - U.S. Model 1816 Springfield Socket Bayonet: The bayonet is a standard Model 1816 Socket Bayonet with a “U.S”. marking, and inspector stamp “E.E.” stamped on the base of the blade. Metal exhibits patina, and some oxidation and light corrosion as expected as well as heavy pitting throughout. The bayonet would clean up if one so desired, but we are offering it in “as found” condition.

    Specifications:
    Blade Length: 16”
    Blade Style: Triangular Socket
    Overall Length: 19”

These are very beautiful examples of American used socket bayonets. Comes ready to display!
