  • Original Item: One-of-a-kind. A fine Philadelphia made three draw brass telescope manufactured by W.S. MC.ALLISTER of PHILADELPHIA. Sheathed in wood, the telescope measures 10" when closed and 27 when fully drawn. Then rear brass band engraved but now extremely faint, reads:

    BENJAMIN F. FISHER

    SIGNAL CORP. U.S. ARMY

The wood laminate barrel cover has one split running the full length caused by continual wood expansion and contraction. The instrument appears to be in perfect working order. A nice accessory from a named Officer in the Union Signal Corp during the Civil War.
