  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a nice used example of the principal cavalry saber used in the U.S. Civil War of 1860-1865. It has brass mounts with wood with leather wrapped sword grip and bound brass wire is still intact and present.


    The curved blade is marked on one side-

    ADK for A. D. King was an ordnance inspector active during the Civil War. The maker markings have worn away but we suspect this was made by AMES of


    The original leather blade washer is still intact and the brass hand guard is nicely stamped 2859.


    The saber comes with an steel-curved scabbard complete with both mounting rings.
