Original Item. Only One Available. Original Item: Only One Available. This is unusual and extremely scarce. An original U.S. Civil War era Fife, as in "Musket, Fife and Drum", constructed of wood with brass endpieces.
The fife measures 16¼” overall, originally made in a fine quality wood with brass caps on each end. It seems functional but we don't know how to play so we can’t test it.
Fifes have always had an important place in military culture, especially during the Civil War. Perfect piece for a Civil War personal effects collection. Comes ready for further research and display.
