  • Original Items. Only One Pair Available. This is a gorgeous pair of flasks from the Civil War era, one a brass powder flask engraved with two names, and the other a leather shot flask.

The powder flask measures 6¼” tall and is engraved S.A. HATHAWAY on one side, and J.C. BICE 1912 on the other, so this was likely passed down through generations and reused when kids were being taught to shoot. There is a depiction of a hunter with his dog on both sides. This is the first powder flask we have ever seen engraved. There is a small split in the seam at the bottom.

The shot flask measures 8⅜” with the ring fully extended at the bottom. There is a depiction of likely a hunting scene but the leather crazing makes it difficult to see. A great pair of flasks, ready for further research and display!
