Original Item. Only One Available. This is a lovely Powder Shot Flask marked to one side with 2 1/2 lbs for the capacity, 2 and a half pounds of shot. The release lever on this one is actually marked with AM Flask Co. for the American Flask and Cap Company who was in business from 1857-1865 in New York. That confirms this example to being of the Civil War Period. It measures roughly 8”.
The flask is in great working condition with the lever still fully functional. The leather of the flask is still in great condition and the small ring at the bottom is still intact, meant to attach a carrying sling.
A lovely example without any serious flaws, well-marked and of the Civil War period. Comes ready for further research and display.
