  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a nice .44 caliber percussion, 6 shot round cylinder, 8" barrel Model 1860 Colt Army revolver. Gun is solid and functional with a visible cylinder stamping that reads PAT. SEPT. 10th 1850, cylinder scene has worn away, barrel marking ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S.AMERICA is also visible. The muzzle shows typical holster wear on the right side which lets you know this was almost certainly in use during the war and taken in and out of a holster hundreds of times, if only it could talk! Original walnut grips are still intact and complete but cartouches are not visible. Action is smooth, the cylinder lock up is tight, bore is good (6-7) and has slight play in the barrel/frame connection.

All parts are matching with serial number 31805 denoting that the year of manufacture was 1862. This is a fine example of the classic side arm used during the U.S. Civil War that very likely saw action itself.
