Original Item: Only One Available. Serial Number 203412 can be found on all major parts and declares the year of manufacture as 1862 meaning this Colt revolver falls right into the U.S. Civil War. All major components show clear serial number.
Six shot percussion, .31 caliber with 5" barrel, all serial numbers matching. In nice tight condition with polished steel finish and some old pitting marks evident. Polished brass trigger guard and grip frame some cylinder engraving can still be seen. Appears to be in perfect functioning condition and is nicely marked in double line across the top of the 5-inch octagonal barrel-

The walnut grips are in very good shape retaining 40% of the original piano varnish finish with some minor wear at the sides of the butt. The revolver is tight with firm lock-up and the action functions flawlessly.
This is a very nice '49 Pocket dating from the Civil War and is as tight as a drum; a wonderful acquisition for any collection.
