  • Original Item: One of a Kind. This is the standard Union Officer's Dress or Parade Sword Model 1860, issued during the Civil War. This example is marked on the ricasso by the company that marketed it:

    BOSTON
    REGALIA
    - CO -
    BOSTON
    - MASS -

It has a partially etched 30" blade with foliage and crossed swords etc, including a Spread Eagle in the center of which is a small box engraved with the name TOTE. The sword measures 35" overall, and the hilt and "shell" Guard are of gilded bronze/brass and the grip is wire bound leather. A good amount of the original gilding is present, though the leather grip is worn. It comes in its original decorated brass mounted nickel-plated scabbard. Scabbard is straight, and the plating is in good shape, though there are numerous dents on both sides of the scabbard.

Just out of the attic but read to display!
