Original Item: Only One Available. This is a great example of a Colonial Era British or American trade tomahawk. The head is in remarkable condition with some pitting and does appear to be ground dug as well as sharpened. The handle is a replacement but it gives this tool (or weapon!) a fantastic new appearance.
This example appears to be ground dug, as there are signs of very old pitting present on the head. The handle is a lovely replacement and does appear to have been done long ago. The head of the tomahawk is approximately 6 ½” in length with an edge width of 2 ½” with a handle length of 11 ½”. There are no markings that can be found.
This is a beautiful example of a Revolutionary War era Colonial blacksmith made tomahawk! Comes more than ready for display.
