Original U.S. Army Cold War OPFOR Aggressor Helmet

Item Description

Original Item: The U.S. Army during the Cold War years developed "war games" type scenarios where "aggressors" were dressed in alternate uniforms and used differences tactics and firearms. An opposing force (alternatively enemy force, abbreviated OPFOR) is a military unit tasked with representing an enemy, usually for training purposes in war game scenarios.  In essence the "bad guys" needed to dress differently from the Army. A common style "Aggressor Helmet" or OPFOR Helmet utilized a standard WWII M1 Helmet liner with an added a wooden comb to the top.

This example is constructed from a Firestone manufactured liner, has a short style wood comb and a insignia to the front; Inside is named to Dale Schnell with partial Army Serial Number in white paint, overall good condition.
