Item Description

Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This is an extremely rare experimental helmet designed by Dr. Lombard in 1948-1949 and was a precursor to the TopTex helmet.

This example has been retrofitted with a later P-3 Style Visor. It has also been custom painted gold and reads across the back:

PROPERTY OF NORTHROP AIRCRAFT INC

And M. L. GREEN above the visor.

Please note that the foam under the leather inside the liner is very fragile and some loss (powder) of that foam has occurred. When the ear cups are in place its not noticeable but if you lift the liner or ear ups out the shell you will see foam loss. The helmet will be fine for s static display.
