Original Item: Only One Available. Most of these long Sword bayonets were shortened in the 1920's to have 10" blades, more in line with the shorter bayonets coming into use around the world. This example however retains its original full 18" fullered blade, with an overall length of 22 7/8", and bears all Turkish markings to the ricasso of the blade. It comes with it's original wood grips and substantial hook quillon crossguard, terminating in a large knob to the tip. Masses of correct Turkish markings overall.
Comes complete with it's original all steel scabbard with German style frog stud. Please see Watts & White’s fine work THE BAYONET BOOK, page 280, item 624.
