Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice set of Swiss Army 6X24 Binoculars, complete with their original neck strap and eyepiece protector. Small field glasses were highly preferred by officers due to their convenience. This example is fully functional, with clear optics and a very nice leather carry case. It is nicely marked as follows:
(Swiss Cross)
Armee-Modell
is marked on the right side, with the magnification and date on the left:
(Swiss Cross)
1940
6X24
The left base is also marked with maker Kern of ARRAU, a town in Northern Switzerland. The front of the binoculars have additional Swiss Cross Proofs, as well as serial No 23973. The binoculars work well, and have a range reticle in the left side eyepiece.
The included tan leather case is in great shape, with a functional spring loaded closure strap and shoulder strap. The bottom is well marked with a Swiss Proof Mark, as well as the maker CHR. MISCHLER / SATTLEREI / BERN.
Overall a very nice example of the classic eye piece for Swiss infantry officers during WWII!
