Original Swiss Model 1900 All Steel Cruciform Bayonet for Machine Gun Units - Very Rare

Original Item: Only One Available. From the very large European Collection of bayonet we received in 2016, this is an extremely rare example of which we have only ever seen one of. This is the Swiss all steel CRUCIFORM Bayonet, with a steel cross guard. This bayonet, known as a Model 1900, was intended to be issued only to Machine Gun Units. It fits the Schmidt Rubin Model 1899/1900 short rifle, intended for artillery and machine gun units. It may also fit the Models 1896/11 and 1911.
Complete with it's correct press button catch, the only markings on it are the rifle's serial number 38314, and the Swiss Cross proof on the small hand guard. We have never had one of these before only having seen them in photographs and illustrations.
