Original Swedish WWII Inert M/1937 Incendiary Hand Grenade - Brandhandgranat M/37
Item Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is an exceptionally rare BATF approved inert Swedish WWII Model 1937 Incendiary Grenade, also known as the Brandhandgranat (Fire Hand Grenade) M/37. This example is complete with an original deactivated tändrör m37 fuse, though the body has restored paint, as it had to be cut in half and re-welded to remove the contents for deactivation. The fuse still unscrews for inspection.
The Swedish Brandhandgranat (Incendiary Grenade) and Roekhandgranat (Smoke Grenade) were both developed in 1937, and were essentially the same grenade, but with different contents. To make it easier to distinguish the two, the Incendiary grenade has an orange stripe around the middle, while the smoke grenade had a gray stripe. The Incendiary grenade was filled with a thermite charge, which would spew fire from the holes in the top of the grenade when the fuze ignited it.
