Original item: One of a Kind. This is a Swedish Model 1881 Dragoon Non-Commissioned Officer's leather helmet mounted in brass with spike top. It has the correct non-Commissioned Officer's brass scaled chin straps. Full leather liner with Swedish Regimental numerals stamped on the interior. Large brass helmet plate to front displaying the large "domed" Crown over three Coronets which represents the Royal House of Sweden.
In overall very nice condition, these are very similar in design to the German Pickelhaube. The black lacquer on the exterior is checked due to age, but is still mostly intact. Most unusual to find, especially in such nice complete condition, and ready to display.
