Original Item: Only One Available. This is an exceptionally unusual inert instructional cutaway of the Swedish Tryckhandgranat 09, or Pressure Hand Grenade 09, manufactured by Rheinmetall Waffe Munition ARGES. The grenade is displayed inside a clear acrylic presentation tube and is accompanied by a separate CC-Module housed in a matching smaller acrylic tube. The exposed internal construction clearly demonstrates the grenade’s modular design and the manner in which its individual sections screw together.
This grenade and accompanying module are completely inert and contain no explosive filler, functioning fuze, detonator, propellant, or other energetic material. Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are NOT considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is totally inert. NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
The Tryckhandgranat 09 was developed for the Swedish Armed Forces as a specialized pressure and airburst grenade intended to improve effectiveness against personnel behind low walls, barriers, and other cover. Swedish development work began through the Swedish Armed Forces and Defence Materiel Administration during the early 2000s, with prototype and feasibility work conducted at FOI Grindsjön.
Sweden later selected a design manufactured by Rheinmetall Waffe Munition ARGES. The company is based in Schwanenstadt, Austria, and operates as a subsidiary of the German Rheinmetall group. Rheinmetall ARGES specializes in grenades, grenade components, practice ammunition, and related effect-producing devices.
Unlike a conventional fragmentation grenade intended to burst while resting on the ground, the operational Tryckhandgranat 09 was designed to come to rest, raise itself above the surface, and detonate at approximately chest or waist height. This improved the distribution of its effect and allowed it to engage personnel who might otherwise be protected by relatively low cover.
The grenade used a modular construction consisting of multiple cylindrical sections screwed together beneath the fuze assembly. The cutaway display clearly exposes this layered arrangement and allows the internal relationship between the body sections, central components, and threaded connections to be examined.
The separate sections are embossed:
TRYCKHGR 09
ARGES
The ARGES marking identifies Rheinmetall Waffe Munition ARGES as the manufacturer. The sectional construction is particularly easy to appreciate on this cutaway, making it an excellent instructional or factory-display piece.
The grenade is mounted inside a clear acrylic tube measuring approximately 7 3/8" tall by 2 3/4" in diameter. The transparent enclosure protects the exposed internal surfaces while allowing the entire cutaway to be viewed from all sides.
Also included is a separate modular component housed in a matching acrylic display tube. The module is embossed:
CC-MODULE
The marking indicates a Cutting Charge Module. Rheinmetall patented auxiliary modules that could be attached to the lower portion of a modular hand grenade to produce an additional focused effect against a selected target. The surviving module demonstrates the adaptable nature of the grenade system rather than merely serving as an additional standard explosive section.
The smaller acrylic tube measures approximately 2 1/4" tall and 2 3/4" in diameter.
Both acrylic displays remain highly presentable, with expected light surface wear from handling and storage. The grenade and module should remain inside their protective tubes and should not be disassembled, modified, or removed unnecessarily.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire an instructional cutaway of an uncommon modern Swedish grenade system, complete with a separate CC-Module. The exposed modular construction, clear TRYCKHGR 09 and ARGES markings, matching acrylic display tubes, and entirely inert configuration make this an outstanding addition to an advanced modern ordnance, military technology, or Rheinmetall collection.
