Original Spanish 88.9mm Instalaza M65 Bazooka Anti-Tank Launcher Serial 23924 dated 1979 - Inert

Item Description

Original Item: Only one available. Fully Deactivated per BATF Specifications, this is a very nice example of the Spanish 88.9mm Instalaza M65 "Bazooka." It is a derivative of the U.S. made M20 "Super Bazooka" Anti-Tank Weapon system, developed by the Instalaza company for use by the Spanish Military in the 1960s and 70s. NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

Compared to the M20, the M65 used an improved ignition method and new ammunition types. Its typical ammunition was the CHM65 High-Explosive Anti-Tank round, as well as , MB66 (Dual-Purpose), and FIM66 (Smoke) shells.

This find example still correctly sets up, with the integral length adjustable Bipod and rear Monopod both full functional. It even still cocks and dry fires! The very nice optical sight still gives a very good image with an intact reticle, and the elevation adjustment underneath is fully functional. The range measurements are listed in DECAMETROS (decimeters). The launcher was definitely repainted at some point after it was demilitarized, though this was before we acquired it. The tube near the sight is marked with the serial number and date clearly:

The launcher still breaks down correctly, however the latch is missing, so a screw has been used to stabilize it. It will be shipped broken down into two pieces, and all that is needed is for the screw to be removed from the front half, and then re-installed once the launcher is put back together.

With the prices of original U.S. bazookas going through the roof, this is a great chance to pick up a spectacular "man cave" accessory! Ready to display on your wall!
