This is a great Soviet propaganda poster from the “Great Patriotic War”, World War II. “Hands Off Leningrad” at the top. “They came from the Kaiser to visit us but bones were left of them, General Yudenich came but he escaped slightly alive, Mannerheim stuck his nose in, but he barely carried it away, And it will be the same with the fascist - we will help them lie down in the ground.” The poster was published by Boyevoy Karandash, RSFSR Artist publishing house, poster no. 46. It measures roughly 14 x 22”.
The poster was designed by I. Muratov, verse by B. Timofeev. Boyevoy Karandash, Combat Pencil, was a creative association of Leningrad artists who produced propaganda posters and collections of satirical drawings starting from 1939.
