Item Description
Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is a lovely pair of two original Soviet WWII badges, the first being an “Excellent Rifleman” otherwise known as the Sniper Badge, and the second being a Voroshilov Marksman Badge. Both retain their enamel well and are maker-marked on the reverse.
The Rifleman badge is of the second variation, featuring a "square" top with narrow shield, and 5 wide scrolls in the top ornament not forming a triangle in the middle. Characteristically square font of the writing and wide profile of the sickle. The center medallion is relatively flat. The back washer retains the maker’s markings, W.M.3. H.K.∏.C.. A great example, measuring 1½ x 1⅞”.
The Voroshilov Marksman Badge is a great example in silver-plated and bronze-plated steel. The enamel is well-retained, and this example is serial numbered on the reverse 3124769 under the maker’s marking MOAX. Measures 1½ x 1⅛”.
This is a great pair of scarce Soviet badges, ready for further research and display.
