Original Soviet WWII 1943 Dated PPSh-41 Display Machine Pistol Serial АЛ 4400 with Stick Magazine and Sling

Original Item: Only One Available. These have become very difficult to find, and this is definitely a well marked example! This is a great Russian PPsh-41 display Machine Pistol, built on a BATF compliant non-firing display receiver. The upper receiver has had an area replaced, and the last 4 inches of the lower receiver have been completely replaced with solid steel bar stock. Additionally, the bolt has been demilitarized and welded into the forward position per BATF specifications. That makes this display gun totally legal to own without a license of any kind. Every part on this display gun is original manufacture other than the portions of the receiver that have been replaced (as required by BATF). The barrel is a fabricated replacement, and the receiver latch and hinge have been welded closed, so there is no way to open the receiver at all. This makes a perfect display piece of an exceptionally hard to find WWII Sub-Machine Gun.
This example comes complete with the stick magazine, which will be deactivated where required. It also comes with the correct leather and canvas Soviet carrying sling, which is in excellent condition. The top of the receiver is marked with a 1943 date, which is a bit faint, and below this is a Star in Shield marking, seen on WWII Produced Soviet PPSh-41s. There are some other markings, but they are partial or faint, having been partially obliterated during demilitarization. We rarely see dates on these due to how they are usually demilitarized! The receiver tang to the rear of the latch is marked with the full serial number АЛ 4400, which matches the marking on the trigger guard. The stock is also stamped with АЛ 4400 on the left side, though it is faint. There are other numbers and symbols stamped on the barrel jacket and barrel, however we are not able to decipher them.
This example is really in great shape, having been repainted with our lovely gunmetal gray spray paint. The safety still moves and the trigger can still be pulled on this example, and the magazine catch is fully functional as well. There are no cracks in the stock, which looks great, showing just a bit of wear. The butt trap door is however missing on the butt plate. The sling is in lovely condition, with no real deficiencies, and a lovely lightly aged look.

History of the PPSh-41:
The PPSh-41 (Russian: Пистоле́т-пулемёт Шпа́гина, tr. Pistolét-pulemyót Shpágina, lit. 'Shpagin's machine pistol') is a Soviet submachine gun designed by Georgi Shpagin as a cheap, simplified alternative to the PPD-40. Common nicknames are "Pe-Pe-Sha" from its three-letter prefix and "Papasha" meaning daddy.
The PPSh was a magazine-fed selective fire submachine gun using an open-bolt, blowback action. Made largely of stamped steel, it could be loaded with either a box or drum magazine, and fired the 7.62×25mm Tokarev pistol round.
The PPSh saw extensive combat use during World War II and the Korean War. It was one of the major infantry weapons of the Soviet armed forces during World War II.
