  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a phenomenal WWII German Wehrmacht (Heer) Aluminum EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) belt buckle, originally made and used by a soldier in the German Army. It was then captured by a Soviet Russian soldier on the Eastern Front, who attached the star emblem of the Soviet Union onto the front of the belt, blocking out the German Reichsadler Eagle. The Heer motto GOTT MIT UNS ("God (is) with us") is still visible, which makes this a really great captured piece of history.

The buckle measures 2½ x 1⅞”. The badge is attached via two small prongs which can still be seen on the back. The badge has decades of grime and wear underneath it, which is evident if the star is rotated slightly. Examples of these have been seen in the past, and many forums online discuss their variations. This one is still in great shape, as many of them have the hammer and sickle missing. This is a very light example, well known as Heer belt buckles came in many different variations and materials.

This is a fantastic example of a captured WWII Heer belt buckle, perfect for any WWII or Soviet Union Collection. Don’t miss it!
