  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is an impressive original Soviet Cold War 9M14 Malyutka anti-tank guided missile trainer, better known by the NATO reporting name AT-3 Sagger, complete with its original green wooden transit chest. The 9M14 was one of the most widely distributed Soviet anti-tank guided missile systems of the Cold War and saw extensive service with Soviet and allied forces around the world.

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

The 9M14 Malyutka was a manually guided, wire-controlled anti-tank missile developed in the Soviet Union and introduced during the 1960s. Its compact size allowed the system to be transported and deployed by infantry crews, and the type became one of the most recognizable Soviet ATGMs of the period.

Since supplemented by more advanced anti-tank guided missiles, the Sagger and its variants have seen widespread use in nearly every regional conflict since the 1960s.

This example is a training missile, intended for assembly and loading drills. It is not functional, and can never be converted into any type of functional weapon. It comes in its original green wooden transit chest, which measures 41" x 12" x 15", and has a sturdy steel retainer clamp attached directly.

The missile and transit chest are in very good condition, with the expected wear from storage and training. The warhead still detaches correctly from the booster section. The interior crate lid retains the small data plate with “Rules for Laying the Product”. The body retains markings including 03-79 which may denote a manufacturer date of 1979. A good research project.

The combination of the original 9M14 trainer missile, complete transit chest, steel retaining clamp, detachable warhead section, surviving instructional data plate, and possible 1979-era marking makes this a particularly strong Cold War display and study piece. Its intact training configuration provides a useful look at the handling and storage system associated with one of the Soviet Union’s most widely recognized anti-tank guided missiles.
