Original Item. Only One Available. The RShG-2 (Russian: Реактивная Штурмовая Граната, romanized: Reaktivnaya Shturmovaya Granata, lit. 'Rocket-propelled Assault Grenade') is a RPG-26 variant with thermobaric warhead. It is also called the Aglen-2 (Russian: Аглень-2). The warhead contains 1.16 kilograms (2.6 lb) of thermobaric mixture, with an explosive yield roughly equal to that of 3 kilograms (6.6 lb) of trinitrotoluene (TNT). Used launchers such as this are "expended ordnance" which "are not classified as a "firearm" or "destructive device"" by the BATF once used, and "therefore, they are not subject to GCA or NFA provisions." NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT. NOT AVAILABLE TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS.
The solid rocket booster of the warhead was taken from the RPG-26 and the fuse taken from the TBG-7 warhead used by the RPG-7. The warhead has a stated penetration ability of 300 millimetres (12 in) of concrete and 500 millimetres (20 in) of brickwork.
The instruction label is mostly intact and can be translated if you would wish to do so. Just like with the American M72, it shows you how to cock and arm the rocket as well as what to do if the user had a misfire. Another important detail is the offset needed to avoid being hit by the backblast.
The front of the tube still has the small printed markings giving the weapon designation, which reads:
РШГ-2
56-1-03
лп-30T-OKфол
9-505 533-1-03
7/1 TP BA 2-03-K
The launcher still has the front and rear sights, and the trigger still works as well. The original sling has a small pouch which has what appears to be an instruction sheet inside.
This is a wonderful item that comes ready for display!
