Item Description

Original Item. Only One Available. Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, better known as Vladimir Lenin, was a Russian revolutionary, politician and political theorist. He was the first head of government of Soviet Russia from 1917 until his death in 1924, and of the Soviet Union from 1922 until his death. As the founder and leader of the Bolsheviks, Lenin led the October Revolution which established the world's first socialist state. His government won the Russian Civil War and created a one-party state under the Communist Party. Ideologically a Marxist, his developments to the ideology are called Leninism.

This is a lovely Cold War era wall plaque depicting Lenin’s head facing forward, a unique design for a plaque as most depictions of Lenin show him facing to the left or right. The plaque measures 12 ⅝ x 16 ⅞” and appears from the front to be bronze, but the back shows that the interior is a different metal.

There is a hook in the back to hang the plaque on the wall. There are no markings anywhere on the plaque we could find.

A lovely Lenin plaque, ready for further research and display.
