  • Original Items. Only One Set Available. This is a very interesting and scarce Soviet Post-WWII period night vision infrared scope complete with its chest rig, though there is no battery pack present. The set is known as the PPN-2 scope. The PPN-2 was designed for use on Degtyaryov RP-46 machine gun, the Gorjunov SG-43 and SGM machinegun, and the B-10 recoilless rifle. It is about 1.5 times as big (and heavy) as the NSP-2 night vision used on the Kalashnikov and RPD rifles of the same time period.

The set consists of the large heavyweight scope that comes in its original carrying case with accompanying screwdriver, the infrared spotlight attached to the battery pack (empty) which then latches onto the chest rig. The spotlight is meant to be worn on the chest and the thick wire leads from the spotlight into the battery pack. The spotlight retains its cover which is pulled down to operate.

The scope itself is very large, measuring roughly 11 ¼ x 7 x 5 ½” and retaining the data plate:

    ППH2
    No. No. P O 4859

The set appears as if it could function with some work, but we cannot guarantee that it would work. All pieces appear present and functional.

    Ready for use or display.
