Item Description
Original Item: One Only. Most unusual but I'm sure not unique, this really is a small "Assassin's dagger" crafted from a French circa 1840 Socket Bayonet blade, which has been shortened and curved. The resulting dagger is in an ideal covert easily concealable weapon with a very strong stabbing blade.
Six and one half inch blade with three and a half inch bone hilt all contained in custom old slim leather covered wood scabbard with brass top and bottom mounts. Probably dating from the 1860s, after the Crimean War, this is a most interesting item that could have originated anywhere in the Mediterranean basin. Totally original and amazingly sturdy circa 1860 probably.
