Original Item. Only One Available. This is a signed print of “Victory Salute” by Robert Taylor, signed at the bottom by Wing Commander Bob Stanford-Tuck & Air Commodore Alan Deere. These were two of the most distinguished RAF Fighter Aces of WWII. The frame is well-put together and the print is very clear. This is a limited run print, but likely due to how it was framed, there is no written number visible on the print.
Specially commissioned in 1985 to commemorate the Anniversary of the Allied victory in World War II, this magnificent piece brings to life the two greatest British fighter aircraft ever to fly, the Supermarine Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane, in a gigantic vista over London and the River Thames.
A truly symbolic painting, brimming with emotion, which has been personally signed by two of the most distinguished RAF Fighter Aces of WWII:
Wing Commander Bob Stanford-Tuck DSO DFC**
Air Commodore Alan Deere DSO OBE DFC*
The frame measures 22 ½ x 28” and retains the Certificate of Authenticity on the back from the Military Gallery of Great Britain Ltd., and it is strangely not numbered as well. From what we found online, this was a limited run of 1500 prints. The frame has a functional hanging wire.
An outstanding print, ready to hang and display!
